“Number Of The Beast”<\/strong> ist das dritte Studioalbum<\/strong> von den NWOBHM-Legenden Iron Maiden<\/strong>. Ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde das Album im M\u00e4rz 1982<\/strong> und mit diesem Album landete das erste Mal eine Heavy Metal Platte auf Platz Nr. 1 in der britischen Album Charts<\/strong>! Deshalb wird dieses Album auch als eines der Wichtigsten in diesem Genre betrachtet.<\/p>\n

Zudem ist auf diesem Album die Band zum ersten Mal mit Bruce Dickinson am Mikrofon<\/strong> zu h\u00f6ren und f\u00fcr Schlagzeuger Clive Burr stellt es die letzte Erscheinung dar<\/strong> bevor er durch Nicko McBrain<\/strong> ersetzt wird.<\/p>\n

    Number of the Beast<\/strong> ist definitv eines von Maiden’s bekanntesten Albums. Das merke ich auch jedesmal wieder, wenn ich auflegge, denn es scheint kaum ein Abend zu vergehen ohne dass entweder ‘run to the hills’, ‘number of the beast’<\/strong><\/em> oder ‘hallowed be thy name’<\/strong> <\/em>gew\u00fcscht wird. Diese drei Songs wurden auch als Singles<\/strong> ver\u00f6ffentlicht was ihre Popularit\u00e4t zus\u00e4tzlich erh\u00f6ht. Und es ist nunmal so, dass – ob das nun gut ist oder nicht – die meisten Leute am liebsten die Musik in Bars h\u00f6ren, die sie bereits kennen. Dies kann ich aus meiner Erfahrung als DJ best\u00e4tigen. Nicht, dass ich diese Songs nicht mag! Ich liebe sie und ‘hallowed be thy name’<\/strong><\/em> ist definitiv einer meiner Lieblings-Metal Songs aller Zeiten. Die Band hat aber noch sehr viele andere super Songs auf ihren insgesamt 15 Studio Alben<\/strong>, die meiner Meinung nach viel zu selten geh\u00f6rt werden.<\/p>\n

    Wieso also immer die selben Songs spielen? Ich versuche deshalb auch noch einen Song wie running free, caught somewhere in time, die with your boots on, wicker man, the prisoner, seventh son of a seventh son, rainmaker<\/em><\/strong>,….(aaah es gibt zu viele, ich kann sie gar nicht alle auflisten) in mein Set zu mischen. Zudem sehe ich es auch als Teil meines Jobs den Leuten die enorme Vielfalt von Iron Maiden’s Diskografie<\/strong> aufzuzeigen.<\/p>\n
